With 2024 set to celebrate 50 years of the New Zealand Association of Counsellors we are coordinating a special conference focusssed on "Whakanuia ki muri, kia anga whakamua" (Celebrating the past, to move forward). Join us to develop your knowledge and understanding of topics that will benefit your practice; network with other members, speakers, politicians, and NZAC staff; learn about and celebrate the history of NZAC and contribute to powerful conversations about the future of counsellors in Aotearoa.
The aims of the conference are to:
● Provide an opportunity for you to hear from key leaders working in hauora/health on mental health policies that affect your work
● Build your professional networks and provide the opportunity for you to meet and connect with your colleagues and other key stakeholders
● Develop your mātauranga/knowledge of relevant topics that will benefit your practice and/or your business
● Celebrate NZAC's rich 50 year history and discuss the future of Counselling in Aotearoa
Learning outcomes:
● Have a greater understanding of policies being developed in mental health spaces
● Opportunity to find solutions and/or discuss issues in interactive group sessions and during the learning marketplace
● Gain knowledge from the latest research and further your understanding of key trends emerging in your practice
